The Westerly Fire Department is delighted to announce the promotion of Paul Cornelius to the position of Fire Alarm Superintendent. Paul is a dedicated Life Member with an impressive 34 years of service, 10 of which he has served as our Facilities Manager. Paul will commence his Fire Marshall certification program at the RI Fire Academy this fall and will have the opportunity to shadow Fire Alarm Superintendent Dennis McGouran, who is scheduled to retire in December.

Furthermore, we are pleased to introduce Matthew Johns as our new Facilities Manager. Matt, also a Life Member with 30 years of service, brings a high level of enthusiasm to our team.

Congratulations to both individuals on their well-deserved achievements!
