At approximately 1119 on Thursday, December 22, Westerly Dispatch received a call reporting a structure fire at 1 Bridgette Lane. Soon after the dispatch, Ashaway Fire Department Car 403 reported a working Structure Fire. Upon arrival of fire units a first alarm was transmitted for a working fire. When apparatus arrived (2) 1 3/4 hose lines were stretched and were able to contain the fire to a single room. Water supply was established from a hydrant on Rt 3. A special signal for (1) Engine from Pawcatuck Fire Department was requested. The RI Fire Marshal was called in to investigate the cause. Units cleared at 1411.
