At approximately 2028 hours on Monday, 12/19, Westerly Dispatch received a call reporting a car that had entered the Pawcatuck River from Cogswell Street in Pawcatuck. Both Pawcatuck and Westerly Firefighters arrived to find the vehicle just north of the bridge downtown Westerly. Marine 30 was quickly deployed with 4 onboard who were able to make a successful rescue of the single occupant. One firefighter was transported with non-life threatening injuries for evaluation and has since been released from the Hospital.

An incredible job to all of our volunteers and other responding agencies for a job well done.
