On October 22 at 9:52 PM, the Westerly Fire Department was requested to respond with Ladder 1 to a second-alarm commercial building fire at 75 Frontage Road in North Stonington, CT.

Upon arrival, crews positioned Ladder 1 on Side D of the structure and utilized the aerial ladder to cut and remove siding above the warehouse doors to assist with ventilation operations. Our volunteers operated on scene for approximately two hours before being released by Incident Command.

While crews operated at the fire, additional volunteer members stood by at Station 1 to maintain coverage and ensure continued emergency response capabilities throughout the Westerly Fire District.

The Westerly Fire Department thanks our dedicated volunteers for their response and commitment to ensuring our community remained protected while providing mutual aid to our neighboring departments.
