How to set up your westerlyfire e-mail
address in
Outlook Express
Step 1: On the toolbar on top of the outlook express window go to tools, and
down to options. Click on accounts and the Internet Accounts window will
open.
Step 2: In the Internet accounts window click the add button and then
click Mail. The internet Connection Wizard will then come up.

Step 3: Enter your name in the Display name box, and then click next.

Step 4: enter the e-mail address you were provided in the E-mail
address box, and click next.

Step 5: Make sure the incoming mail server is a POP3 server. Next
enter pop.1and1.com in the incoming mail server box. Next enter
smtp.1and1.com in the outgoing mail server box, and click next.

Step 6: enter the e-mail address you were provided with in the Account
name box. Next enter the password you were provided with in the password
box (unless you have changed your password, in that case enter your new
password). Next ensure the Log on using secure password authentication
(SPA) checkbox is unchecked, and click next.

Step 7: Click finish to save your settings.

Step 8: Highlight the pop.1and1.com account and click properties
button. The pop.1and1.com properties window will then pop up.

Step 9: Ensure the Include this account when receiving mail or
synchronizing checkbox is checked, and click apply. Next click the servers
tab.

Step 10: Check the My server requires authentication checkbox, and then
click settings.

Step 11: Check that Use same settings as my incoming mail server is
checked, and click ok.

Step 12: Next change Outgoing mail (SMTP) to 587, and click ok.
Your mail should now be set up and working in Outlook Express. |
